The following crochet stitches are used in this pattern: chain, single crochet, single crochet decrease stitch, and slip stitch
Materials you will need:
• Crochet hook size: H/5 mm
• #6 super bulky weight yarn: black (35 yards/35 meters*), glow-in-the-dark chenille yarn (6 yards/5.5 meters, yellow (2 yards/2 meters) and orange (2 yards/2 meters)
• 1 pair of 12 mm black safety eyes (see note 1)
• Polyester fiber fill stuffing
• Yarn needle and scissors
*Exact yardage will depend on the yarn and hook size. I used Lion Brand DIY Glow Chenille yarn for the glow-in-the-dark abdomen and Hobbii Baby Snuggle yarn for the rest of the firefly.
Final measurement for the finished firefly is 6 inches/15 cm long.
