The following crochet stitches are used in this pattern: chain, single crochet, single crochet decrease stitch, half double crochet, and slip stitch
Materials you will need:
• #6 super bulky weight yarn*: green (40 yds/36.5 m), peach (15 yds/14 m), and tan (15 yds/14 m)
• #4 medium worsted weight yarn: peach for worm friend (6 yards/5.5 m); 2 strands of black and 1 strand of white for the embroidered eyes
• H/5 mm crochet hook for bass; F/3.75 mm hook for worm
• Yarn needle (for weaving in ends)
• Scissors
• 1 chenille stem, or pipe cleaner, for shaping the worm
*This pattern can be made as written with any yarn weight.
When made with #6 super bulky weight yarn, final measurement for the finished bass will be 6 inches/15.5 cm long. With #4 medium weight yarn, the worm will be 1.5 in/3.8 cm long.
When made with #4 medium weight yarn, the finished bass will be 3.25 in/8.25 cm long; with #7 jumbo weight yarn, it will be 9.25 in/23.5 cm long.
